Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a fully integrated system of theory, diagnostics and treatment able to address virtually any health condition. In the few conditions which fall outside the scope of our acupuncture practice, we are able to act as an effective complement to enhance conventional treatment, or reduce and control side affects.
At Lake Road Acupuncture and Massage we use a variety of traditional modalities to address conditions with which patients present. These include guasha, cupping, moxabustion, herbal medicine, and tuina massage along with acupuncture. We offer conventional massage by an independent licensed massage therapist and have recently added NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Therapy) to our program. A licensed professional counselor is also available in our office. (See Our Staff)
We feel we offer a good variety of care to meet a large number of patients’ needs. As we always want to see our patients get the best care possible, we recognize the need for other practitioners to enter your pathway to optimum health. We value chiropractic treatment and we have a few doctors with whom we work closely and are happy to refer you to them. There are also naturopaths on our list of favorite health care providers and we can connect you with some great ones also.
More about NAET from Dr. Nambudripad: Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques is an innovative treatment for allergies that is completely natural, painless and non-invasive. This method can be used safely on anyone, even newborn infants, the elderly, patients in a coma and pets. NAET can also be used to treat healthy individuals with hidden allergies that could cause illness in the future. In addition, NAET can complement other medical therapies requiring the use of prescription drugs to treat for any side effects and maximize the effectiveness of the drugs. With the advancement of modern technology and science, new chemicals and products are entering into our environments every day which create potential allergens for many people. NAET is truly a revolutionary solution that provides relief from adverse reactions to new allergens and empowers the individual to live a better life in our modern world. Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation ETPS is a great modality to use for those with chronic pain. It is a wonderful adjunct to our traditional electro-stimulation in that no needles are used. It can also be used to treat other conditions for which we would normally use acupuncture. This seemingly simple form of treatment is very powerful. For those who have an aversion to needles this may be an option for you to get acupuncture without the “puncture.” (See: Resources for more info)
